About Masjid Al Amal
Masjid Al Jamaah and Arabic Learning School Inc. is an Islamic religious and educational institution located in North Fairview, Quezon City, dedicated to nurturing faith, knowledge, and character through authentic Islamic teachings and quality education. Founded with humble beginnings, our mosque started as a simple place where members of the community could gather to pray, learn, and strengthen their connection with Allah. Through sincerity, unity, and the unwavering support of our community, we continue to grow—serving as a center for worship, Islamic learning, and community development. By the will of Allah (Insha'Allah), we aspire to expand our services and reach more individuals and families in the years to come. Our institution provides structured madrasah education, Qur'an studies, values formation, and community outreach programs that promote spiritual growth, moral excellence, and social responsibility. We are committed to preserving Islamic values while inspiring every learner to become knowledgeable, compassionate, and productive members of society. Guided by our slogan, "Know. Worship. Excel.", we believe that true success begins with seeking beneficial knowledge, strengthening one's relationship with Allah through sincere worship, and striving for excellence in every aspect of life. We remain dedicated to serving the welfare and development of Muslim communities by fostering unity, integrity, lifelong learning, and devotion to Allah.
Our Story: A Community's Vision Comes to Life
At Masjid Al Jama'ah and Arabic Learning School Inc., our story is one born from a deep-seated community desire for spiritual autonomy, transparency, and accessible Islamic education. It's a journey fueled by faith, dedication, and the generous spirit of individuals coming together for a common purpose. A Generous Gift and a Sacred Space The realization of this dream began with an act of profound generosity. Brother Yul, a reverted Muslim, offered his property as the foundation for our ambitious project. What started as a simple space for congregational prayer (sala) soon blossomed into a fully-fledged masjid, built with the hands and hearts of our small community. From the very beginning, establishing a madrasa was our "first priority." We recognized a significant void in our community: there was "no existing madrasa" where our children could learn the foundational principles of Islam. Our goal was to create a nurturing environment where the next generation could connect with their faith and receive essential religious instruction.
Building on Strong Foundations: Legal Legitimacy
To ensure the longevity and stability of our community mosque and learning school, we took crucial steps to formalize our institution. We successfully completed legal registrations with both the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), granting us official "legal entity status," and the National Commission for Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), which provided "official legitimacy" and opened doors to broader community support. These approvals were vital, enabling us to operate legally, transparently, and responsibly receive the donations that sustain us.
Nurturing Minds: Our Dual-Track Learning System
Masjid Al Jama'ah is more than just a place of worship; it’s a vibrant center for Islamic education. Our madrasah, which informally began teaching about two years ago and was formalized with our legal registrations, offers a "dual-track system" meticulously designed to cater to different age groups and learning levels:
For Children: Our foundational program focuses on Qaidah, basic reading, and memorization of core texts.
For Teenagers: For those who have "mastered basic Qaidah" and can read fluently, we offer an advanced level. This program enhances reading skills. Our dedicated instructors, led by Ustad Salahuddin Sarip, are committed to delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons, adapting their approach to meet the unique needs of each student.
Community, Support, and Our Future. Our mosque and school thrive on the spirit of community involvement. Beyond our regular classes, volunteers organize valuable "seminars for women," and we strive to host "seminars for men" when resources permit. We rely on the generosity of donations to maintain our facilities, provide educational materials, and organize essential programs. While we sometimes experience "fluctuating cash flow," our commitment to "financial transparency" and building "community trust" remains unwavering. When donations are sufficient, we activate "dawah initiatives," extending our outreach and support to those in need. Masjid Al Jama'ah and Arabic Learning School Inc. is a testament to what a united community can achieve. We are a place where faith is practiced openly, knowledge is shared freely, and every individual is empowered to grow spiritually. We invite you to join us on this blessed journey as we continue to build a future.
